Stiffy Makane is Mark Ryan's hapless antihero, sort of a Leisure Suit Larry without the subtlety. He first exploded onto the scene in 1997 in Ryan's seminal work The Incredible Erotic Adventures Of Stiffy Makane. Since then, there have been five other Stiffy Makane games (or, as Spike Lee would say, and perhaps more appropriately, “joints”).
Nemesis Macanaby Victor Gijsbers as “Hermann Schudspeer,” 2012“Saint Paul saw Jesus on the road to Damascus. Constantine witnessed the holy cross rising from the sun. This very day, you can see Nemesis Macana on the screen of your personal computer, and who knows what conversion may follow?” |
Mentula Macanus: Apocolocyntosisby One of the Bruces and Drunken Bastard, 2011A romp through the waning days of the Roman Republic; like “The Waste Land meets Book VI of the Aeneid,” but with more dick jokes. Winner of the 2011 XYZZY Award for “Best Individual PC.” |
The Cavity of Timeby Sam Kabo Ashwell as “Ed Packer,” 2011An Undum-fuelled CYOA through a surrealistic landscape of intertextuality and logorrhoea. |
Stiffy Makane: The Undiscovered Countryby One of the Bruces, 2001Adventures in the far future of Star Trek and Space Moose. |
The Incredible Erotic Adventures Of Stiffy Makane: Mystery Science Theater 3000 Editionby Drunken Bastard and Dastardly Coward, 1999The MST treament of the original game, with snarky interlinear commentary by Mike and the bots. |
